Landscape and Wildlife Painter

Art is the joy of creation and the joy of sharing. Besides the pure joy of painting, I find sharing my work to be a great form of the most personal communication. At the present, my paintings are primarily acrylic and reflect my love for nature. I create paintings of landscapes, birds, and other wildlife. Besides painting on canvas, I’ve discovered that other surfaces create an interesting presentation of this natural world. I paint on canvas, leaves, feathers, rocks, slate, rough cut wood, and cedar shakes.
I am a lifelong resident of Massachusetts. I was always interested in art, but my passion for painting began after high school. I took several adult education painting classes but was still looking for the right fit. I then met Frank Bly, artist and former teacher for the Norman Rockwell Famous Artists Schools. I studied with him for five years. It was a solid beginning for me, but just the beginning. My art continues to evolve and I continue to learn, leading me from project to project, and the result is sometimes a surprise.
Annual exhibitions
I have exhibited my work throughout New England, including at the Fitchburg Art Museum, Greenfield Community College, and Gardner Museum. For three consecutive years, I have had a one woman show in Marlborough, MA. I am a member of Nashua New Hampshire Art Association, and a number of online groups. Seeing new art, talking with artists, and the overall art community has led me to make great strides in my art work. Several times I have been a guest on Anthony Williams’ TV program Art XPressions recorded in Manchester, NH, where I showcase my work and discuss my own art and local art.
